§ 521.055. ESTABLISHMENT OF INTERACTIVE SYSTEM. (a) The
department may establish a system, separate from the department's
mainframe computer, that will allow interactive access to certain
driver's license record information.
(b) The system may provide for the release of driving
records described in:
(1) Section 521.045;
(2) Section 521.046;
(3) Section 521.047; and
(4) Section 521.0475.
(c) The fee for a driving record under Subsection (b)(1) is
$2.50. The fee for a driving record under Subsection (b)(2) is
$4.50. The fee for a driving record under Subsection (b)(3) is
$5.50. The fee for a driving record under Subsection (b)(4) is $20.
(d) Repealed by Acts 2003, 78th Leg., ch. 1325, § 11.10.
(e) The department may contract with private vendors as
necessary to implement this section.
(f) The department may adopt rules as necessary to
administer this section.
(g) For purposes of this section, a release of information
to persons eligible to receive the information under Chapter 730
occurs each time a query is made of the system.
