§ 12.052. PRESIDING OFFICER. (a) The governor shall designate a commissioner as the presiding officer. (b) The presiding officer serves in that capacity at the pleasure of the governor. Acts 1997, 75th Leg., ch. 166, § 1, eff. Sept. 1, 1997.
