Art. 6284. [6433] [4374] PENALTY FOR FAILURE. If said
railroad or other corporation shall fail or refuse to comply with
any provision of the three preceding articles, it shall be liable to
pay to the State of Texas, the sum of one thousand dollars for each
month that said railroad or other corporation shall fail or refuse
to comply therewith, said sum to be recovered by the State. An
honest mistake in the entries in its books shall not subject a
railroad company to such penalties.
