Art. 6468. [6667] [4571] REFUSAL TO ANSWER. If any officer
or employé of a railroad shall fail or refuse to fill out and return
any blanks as above required, or fail or refuse to answer any
questions therein propounded, or shall give a false answer to any
such questions where the fact inquired of is within his knowledge,
or shall evade the answer to any such questions, a penalty of five
hundred dollars shall be recovered from the company by the State
when it appears that such persons acted in obedience to its
direction, permission or request in his failure, evasion or
refusal. Said Commission shall have the power to prescribe a system
of book-keeping to be observed by each railroad subject hereto,
under the penalties prescribed in this article.
