Art. 9026a. CHARGES FOR TITLE FEES, REGISTRATION FEES, AND
PROPERTY TAXES. (a) A person required to register under Section
152.065, Tax Code, may include in a customer agreement a separate
charge for the proportionate amount of title fees, registration
fees, and property taxes paid in the preceding calendar year on the
person's vehicle fleet.
(b) If a person includes a charge under Subsection (a) of
this article in a customer agreement, the charge:
(1) must be included on a nondiscriminatory basis; and
(2) shall be collected in each agreement other than an
agreement that is exempt from a tax imposed under Section 152.026,
Tax Code.
(c) A person commits an offense if the person violates this
article. An offense under this subsection is a Class A misdemeanor.

be imprisoned in the penitentiary not exceeding two years.
