30-105. Arizona power authority commission

A. The purposes of the authority shall be effectuated by and through the Arizona power authority commission and other necessary personnel. The powers and authority vested in the commission shall be exercised by a majority of the members then in office.

B. The commission shall consist of five electors appointed by the governor pursuant to section 38-211. The members shall be electors qualified by administrative and business experience. No member shall hold any other salaried public office or be associated with any public service corporation engaged in generating, distributing or selling power to the public generally in this state for profit, nor shall any member have any interest in any business that may be adversely affected by the operation of the authority in the discharge of its duties.

C. The term of office of each member shall be six years. The terms of two members shall expire on the third Monday in January of each odd-numbered year, except that on the third Monday in January of each sixth year the term of one member shall expire. Members of the commission may be removed by the governor for cause.
