             Appeal No. 2003-1934 Page 8
             Application No. 08/821,320

"conventional word processor . . . allows the user to prepare, edit and view the script
associated with the movie." Col. 3, ll. 37-39. Klinger explains that "integration of the
scripting of the movie with the video and audio portions, greatly aids in the efficient
organization and assembly of the movie." Col. 9, ll. 65-68. We cannot help but
question whether such integration would have involved editing the script so that the time
required for the actors to recite the lines of the script would have matched the time
required to play the movie. Having no such argument before us to review, however, we
leave the question to the examiner and the appellants and we reverse the obviousness
rejection of claim 9 and of claims 2-8, which depend therefrom..

                                                  CONCLUSION
In summary, the rejections of claims 2-9 under § 103(a) are reversed.
