DECISION ON APPEAL
This is a decision on the appeal under 35 U.S.C. § 134 from the examiner’s
rejection of claims 1-28, which constitute all the claims pending in this application.
The disclosed invention pertains to the field of processors storing information in
register files, and more particularly to processors employing register files divided into
multiple register file segments each coupled to and associated with a respective
functional unit, wherein each register file segment is partitioned (or partitionable) into
local and global registers.
