31 At the time the interference was declared, Mather was placed under an
32 order to show cause why judgment should not be entered against it pursuant
33 to 37 C.F.R. § 41.202(d) (2006).
34 A response to the order to show cause was not timely filed.
35 On 31 July 2007, the lead paralegal for the Trial Procedures Section
36 placed a telephone call to counsel for Mather—Mr. Ryan.
