California Penal Code Section 537gLegal Research Home > California Lawyer > Penal Code > California Penal Code Section 537g Sponsored Links(a) Unless otherwise provided by law, any person who knowingly removes, defaces, covers, alters or destroys a National Crime Information Center owner identification number from the personal property of another without permission is guilty of a misdemeanor punishable by a fine not to exceed four hundred dollars ($400), imprisonment in the county jail not to exceed one year, or both.
