Registration; application; transfer of current registration
Note: This version of section effective 1-1-2006. See also
preceding version of this section, effective until 1-1-2006.
Sec. 9. (a) This section does not apply to a motor vehicle
requiring a certificate of title under section 1(a)(2) or 1.5 of this
chapter.
(b) A person applying for a certificate of title must:
(1) apply for registration of the vehicle described in the
application for the certificate of title; or
(2) transfer the current registration of the vehicle owned or
previously owned by the person.
