General Laws of Massachusetts - Chapter 112 Registration of Certain Professions and Occupations - Section 87R Penalties

Section 87R. Whoever engages in or follows, or attempts to engage in or follow, the occupation of barbering, or conducts or attempts to conduct a barber school or barber college, unless so authorized to do by the board, or falsely pretends to be qualified to practice such occupation, or whoever, in conducting a barber shop, employs any person, other than a registered barber or apprentice, to practice barbering therein, or whoever violates any provision of sections eighty-seven F to eighty-seven R, inclusive, or any rule or regulation made under authority thereof, shall, in addition to any other penalty prescribed or authorized by said sections, be punished by a fine of not more than one hundred dollars or by imprisonment for not more than ninety days, or both.
