General Laws of Massachusetts - Chapter 13 Division and Boards of Registration - Section 35 Board of public accountancy; compensation and expenses; executive secretary

Section 35. Each member of the board shall receive fifty dollars for each day or part of a day actually spent in the performance of his duties, but in any one year not more than three thousand dollars shall be paid to any member. Each member shall be reimbursed for his actual and necessary expenses incurred in the discharge of his official duties.

The board shall employ an executive secretary, who shall be a certified public accountant, and shall determine his salary. The executive secretary shall not be subject to the provisions of sections forty-five to fifty, inclusive, of chapter thirty, or to the provisions of chapter thirty-one. The board may appoint such committees or persons to advise it or assist it in such administration as it may see fit. It may seek counsel to advise and assist it as may be provided by the attorney general.
