207.1063.amended Issuance of license.

Sec. 63.

(1) If an application and the accompanying bond or cash deposit, if any, are approved, the department shall issue a license to the applicant.

(2) A licensee shall retain a copy of its license at each of its business locations unless the department waives this requirement.

(3) A licensee is not required to renew a license and a license is valid unless and until it is suspended, canceled, or revoked for cause by the department, or discontinued by the licensee. However, the department may require a licensee to update the information required under section 53 or 153.

(4) The department shall maintain a list containing the name and address of each person licensed under this act. The department may post the list on the department's website. The department shall regularly update the list in order to reflect the current status of a licensee.

Compiler's Notes: Enacting section 2 of Act 468 of 2014 provides:"Enacting section 2. This amendatory act does not take effect unless House Joint Resolution UU of the 97th Legislature becomes a part of the state constitution of 1963 as provided in section 1 of article XII of the state constitution of 1963."House Joint Resolution UU was presented to the electors as Proposal 15-1 at the May 5, 2015 special election. The proposal to amend the constitution was not approved by the voters and Act 468 of 2014 does not go into effect.
