Distribution of profits. A limited-liability company may, from time to time, divide the profits of its business and distribute them to its members, and any transferee as his interest may appear, upon the basis stipulated in the operating agreement. If the operating agreement does not otherwise provide, profits and losses must be allocated proportionately to the value, as shown in the records of the company, of the contributions made by each member and not returned.
