Threatening to publish libel: Penalty. Every person who shall threaten another with the publication of a libel concerning the latter, or his spouse, parent, child or other member of his family, and every person who offers to prevent the publication of a libel upon another person upon condition of the payment of, or with intent to extort, money or other valuable consideration from any person, shall be guilty of a gross misdemeanor.
