Family contracts. Family hospital or family medical or dental service contracts may be issued to a family consisting of an individual and one or more persons dependent upon him, or of one or more persons dependent upon an individual, and may include his spouse, whether or not dependent upon him. Such contracts shall contain a provision to the effect that to the family originally covered may be added from time to time all new members of the family group eligible for coverage and that the head of the family shall give the corporation notice of the addition to the family of any person eligible for coverage under the contracts.
