Nevada Revised Statutes Section 616A.175 - Labor and Industrial Relations

“Employee”: Person vending or delivering newspaper or magazine. Any person who is:

1. Engaged in vending, selling, offering for sale or delivering directly to the public any newspaper, magazine or periodical pursuant to an agreement or contract with the publisher or distributor thereof;

2. Acting under the control of the publisher or distributor; and

3. Receiving a wage, commission or other compensation based upon his sales of the newspaper, magazine or periodical,

Ê shall be deemed, for the purposes of chapters 616A to 616D, inclusive, of NRS, to be an employee of the publisher or distributor and to be receiving a wage of $50 per month or his actual remuneration, whichever is greater, and is entitled to the benefits of those chapters.
