Investigation by Board. Upon receipt of an application for a permit to operate a funeral establishment, a funeral director’s license or a license to conduct direct cremations or immediate burials, the Board shall cause an investigation to be made as to the character of the applicant, and may require such showing as will reasonably prove his good moral character.
