Liability of county treasurer for failure to perform duties of trust. Every county treasurer and his successor in office, becoming a trustee under the provisions of this chapter, shall be liable upon his official bond for any misfeasance, malfeasance, failure or neglect to perform faithfully all the duties of his trust.
