New York Public Authorities Law Section 1076 - Definitions.

1076. Definitions. As used or referred to in this title, unless a different meaning clearly appears from the context,

1. The term "authority" shall mean the corporation heretofore created pursuant to the provisions of chapter eight hundred forty-seven of the laws of nineteen hundred thirty-four and thereafter continued pursuant to the provisions of article seven of the county law, and whose existence is continued by section one thousand seventy-seven of this title;

2. The term "municipality" shall mean any county, city, town, village, town water district, fire district, fire protection district, fire alarm district, school district, and any other political subdivision of the state;

3. The term "bonds" shall mean the bonds issued by the authority, pursuant to this title.

4. The designation board of supervisors shall mean the legislative body of the county of Suffolk.
