Oregon Statutes - Chapter 221 - Organization and Government of Cities - Section 221.923 - Working out fines for violation of ordinance.

When any person is convicted of an offense under any of the ordinances of any city referred to in ORS 221.906 and fails to pay an adjudged fine and costs, the person may be sentenced to labor one day for every $5 on such fine upon the streets or other public works of the city under such officer as the common council may prescribe.
