Oregon Statutes - Chapter 243 - Public Employee Rights and Benefits - Section 243.736 - Strikes by certain emergency and public safety personnel.

(1) It is unlawful for any of the following public employees to strike or recognize a picket line of a labor organization while in the performance of official duties:

(a) Emergency telephone worker;

(b) Employee of the Oregon Youth Authority who has custody, control or supervision of youth offenders;

(c) Firefighter;

(d) Guard at a correctional institution or mental hospital;

(e) Parole and probation officer who supervises adult offenders; and

(f) Police officer.

(2) As used in this section, “emergency telephone worker” means a person whose official focal duties are receiving information through a 9-1-1 emergency reporting system under ORS 401.710 to 401.816, relaying the information to public or private safety agencies or dispatching emergency equipment or personnel in response to the information.
