Oregon Statutes - Chapter 348 - Student Aid; Education Stability Fund; Planning - Section 348.950 - Education Commission of the States; members; dues.

(1) If the state decides to participate in the activities of the Education Commission of the States, it may pay the appropriate dues. Other costs of membership may be paid from funds available therefor.

(2) The persons appointed to represent the state in activities of the commission shall be appointed as follows:

(a) Three by the Governor, to serve at the pleasure of the Governor.

(b) Two by the President of the Senate, who shall be members of the Senate, to serve at the pleasure of the President of the Senate and until the convening of the regular session of the Legislative Assembly next following the appointment who are entitled to payment of compensation and expense reimbursement under ORS 171.072, payable from funds appropriated to the Legislative Assembly.

(c) Two by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, who shall be members of the House of Representatives, to serve at the pleasure of the Speaker of the House and until the convening of the regular session of the Legislative Assembly next following the appointment who are entitled to payment of compensation and expense reimbursement under ORS 171.072, payable from funds appropriated to the Legislative Assembly.
