Notwithstanding ORS 293.595, the State Board of Higher Education shall control and supervise the acquisition, installation and use of all data processing equipment to be used primarily for the purposes of the accounting records and accounting system of the Oregon University System. The board may authorize use of that equipment for other purposes to the extent that use for those other purposes does not conflict with use for the primary purpose of the Oregon University System’s accounting records and accounting system.
