Oregon Statutes - Chapter 414 - Medical Assistance - Section 414.415 - Contents of annual report; public comment.

(1) The annual report under ORS 414.365 (1) shall be subject to public comments prior to its submission to the Director of Human Services. Copies of the annual report shall also be submitted to the President of the Senate, the Speaker of the House of Representatives and other persons who request copies of the report.

(2) The annual report must include information on the following:

(a) An overview of the activities of the Drug Use Review Board and the prospective and retrospective programs;

(b) A summary of interventions made, including the number of cases brought before the board, and the number of interventions made;

(c) An assessment of the impact of the interventions, criteria and standards used, including an overall assessment of the impact of the educational programs and interventions on prescribing and dispensing patterns;

(d) An assessment of the impact of these criteria, standards and educational interventions on quality of care; and

(e) An estimate of the cost savings generated as a result of the prospective and retrospective programs, including an overview of the fiscal impact of the programs to other areas of the medical assistance program such as hospitalization or long term care costs. This analysis should include a cost-benefit analysis of both the prospective and retrospective programs and should take into account the administrative costs of the drug utilization review program.
