Oregon Statutes - Chapter 568 - Soil and Water Conservation; Water Quality Management - Section 568.515 - Termination of inactive district’s existence.

At any time after five years after organization of a district and not more than once each year, the State Department of Agriculture may make and record a determination that the district is inactive. The department may conduct such public meetings and public hearings as may be necessary to assist it in making the determination. Within 60 days after it makes and records such a determination, the department shall give due notice of the holding of a referendum, and a referendum shall be held and such further proceedings had for terminating the district as provided in ORS 568.480 to 568.500.
