Oregon Statutes - Chapter 568 - Soil and Water Conservation; Water Quality Management - Section 568.750 - Vacancies in board of adjustment; compensation of members; administrative expenses.

(1) Vacancies in the board of adjustment shall be filled in the same manner as original appointments and shall be for the unexpired term of the member whose term becomes vacant. Employees of the State Department of Agriculture and the directors of the district are ineligible to appointment as members of the board of adjustment during their tenure of such other office.

(2) The members of the board of adjustment shall receive compensation for their services at the rate of $5 per diem for time spent on the work of the board, in addition to expenses, including traveling expenses, necessarily incurred in the discharge of their duties.

(3) The directors shall pay the necessary administrative and other expenses of operation incurred by the board, upon the certificate of the chairperson of the board, from funds made available by the department or the federal government. [Amended by 1981 c.92 §38]
