A registered professional engineer or a registered professional land surveyor who has reached the age of 65 years and has retired from the active practice of engineering or land surveying may, upon application and at the discretion of the State Board of Examiners for Engineering and Land Surveying, be exempted from payment of annual renewal fees thereafter.
