Oregon Statutes - Chapter 732 - Organization and Corporate Procedures of Domestic Insurers; Regulation of Insurers Generally - Section 732.584 - Examinations.

(1) In addition to other powers of the Director of the Department of Consumer and Business Services under the Insurance Code relating to the examination and investigation of insurers, the director may also order any insurer registered under ORS 732.517 to 732.592 to produce such books, records, accounts, papers, documents and computer and other recordings in the possession of the insurer or its affiliates as are necessary to ascertain the financial condition of the insurer or to determine compliance with the Insurance Code. If the insurer fails to comply with such an order, the director may examine the affiliates to obtain such information.

(2) An insurer shall pay the costs of an examination of the insurer under this section as provided in ORS 731.316. [1993 c.447 §51]
