§ 2.2-2711. Boating Advisory Committee; purpose; membership; meetings; compensation

A. The Boating Advisory Committee (the "Committee") is established as an advisory committee, within the meaning of § 2.2-2100, in the executive branch of state government. The purpose of the Board shall be to advise and make recommendations to the Board of Game and Inland Fisheries, the Marine Resources Commission and other state agencies concerning any proposed regulations, policies or other issues that would directly affect the recreational boating public.

B. The Committee shall consist of eleven members to be appointed by the Secretary of Natural Resources, as follows: members shall represent the United States Power Squadrons; the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary; the Chesapeake Bay Yacht Clubs Association; and the general boating public of this Commonwealth.

C. Members of the Boating Advisory Committee shall meet at least once a year and serve without compensation but shall be reimbursed for their reasonable and necessary expenses incurred in the discharge of their duties as provided in § 2.2-2825.
