§ 44-43. General courts-martial; sentencing

A. General courts-martial of the National Guard, not in federal service, may be convened by orders of the Governor or the Adjutant General of Virginia.

B. A general court-martial shall have the authority to impose any of the following fines and penalties:

1. A fine of not more than $200;

2. Forfeiture of pay and allowances;

3. A reprimand;

4. Dismissal or dishonorable discharge;

4a. Restriction to limits;

4b. Imposition of extra duty;

4c. Confinement for not more than twenty days;

5. Reduction of enlisted persons one or more pay grades; or

6. Any combination of these punishments.
