                                                      DECISION ON APPEAL                                                            
                       This is an appeal from the final rejection of claims 1 through 15.                                           
                       The disclosed invention relates to a polarization diversity receiver that uses phase                         
               compensation to adjust the phase of a first polarized signal before combining the first polarized                    
               signal with a second polarized signal.
