SUMMARY OF DECISION
We REVERSE.
THE INVENTION
The Appellants’ claimed invention is to a table unit for vehicle seats having
two table elements that can rotate relative to one another around a first axis by way
of at least one articulation (Specification 1). Claim 10, reproduced below, is
representative of the subject matter on appeal (Bracketed text added).
10. A table unit for vehicle seats, comprising:
a first table element [10] having a first table
function;
a second table element [12] having a second table
function; and
first, second and third articulations [18, 20, 22]
coupling said first and second table elements for rotation
relative to one another about first and second axes [14,
16] and fixing said table elements in definable relative
positions, said articulations being located on outside
lateral peripheries of said table elements, said second
articulation [20] being a multiple joint allowing rotation
about said first and second axes.
