No person who is licensed pursuant to Chapter 9 (commencing
with Section 7000) of Division 3 of this code shall be required to
register under this chapter if such person's activities are within
the scope of his license; nor shall such person be prohibited from
repairing, servicing, or maintaining equipment of any type, the
installation of which may be performed under his license.
