Illinois Parentage Act of 1984 - 750 ILCS 45, Section 22Legal Research Home > Illinois Lawyer > Illinois Parentage Act of 1984 > Illinois Parentage Act of 1984 - 750 ILCS 45, Section 22 In all cases instituted by the Illinois Department of Public Aid on behalf of a child or spouse, other than one receiving a grant of financial aid under Article IV of The Illinois Public Aid Code, on whose behalf an application has been made and approved for child support enforcement services as provided by Section 10-1 of that Code, the court shall impose a collection fee on the individual who owes a child or spouse support obligation in an amount equal to 10% of the amount so owed as long as such collection is required by federal law, which fee shall be in addition to the support obligation. The imposition of such fee shall be in accordance with provisions of Title IV, Part D, of the Social Security Act and regulations duly promulgated thereunder. The fee shall be payable to the clerk of the circuit court for transmittal to the Illinois Department of Public Aid and shall continue until support services are terminated by that Department.
