500.3401 Purpose of chapter; short title, uniform disability insurance policy provisions law.

Sec. 3401.

(1) The purpose of this chapter is to provide for a new set of standard provisions applicable to disability insurance policies, which it is proposed shall become substantially uniform throughout the various states; to provide that adoption of their use by insurers shall be optional before January 1, 1956; and upon that date shall be mandatory; which date of adoption in either instance is referred to herein as the operative date of this chapter.

(2) This chapter shall be known and may be cited as the uniform disability insurance policy provisions law.
