Validity of conveyances made before December 2, 1861. All conveyances of real property made, acknowledged or proved prior to December 2, 1861, according to the laws in force at the time of the making, acknowledgment or proof, shall have the same force as evidence, and be recorded in the same manner and with like effect as conveyances executed and acknowledged in pursuance of this chapter.
