Nevada Revised Statutes Section 120A.430 - Property Rights and Transactions

Action to enforce payment or delivery of abandoned property to Administrator; award of costs and attorney’s fees; imposition of civil penalty. If any person refuses to pay or deliver property to the Administrator as required under this chapter, the Attorney General, upon request of the Administrator, may bring an action in a court of competent jurisdiction to enforce the payment or delivery. In such an action, the court may award costs and reasonable attorney’s fees to the prevailing party, and, if the Administrator is the prevailing party, may impose a civil penalty against the losing party in an amount not to exceed 2 percent of the value of the property, or $1,000, whichever is greater.
