Oregon Statutes - Chapter 660 - Apprenticeship and Training; Workforce Development - Section 660.158 - Interstate agreements regarding courses of study.

(1) If there is an interstate agreement regarding apprenticeship courses of study between the State Apprenticeship and Training Council and an agency with similar functions in another state:

(a) Any course of study prescribed pursuant to ORS 660.157 is subject to the provisions of the interstate agreement.

(b) Each local joint committee of an occupation that is subject to the interstate agreement shall submit requests for changes in courses of study directly to the council.

(2) Apprenticeship programs which jointly form a sponsoring entity on a multistate basis and are registered pursuant to all requirements of the United States Department of Labor, Bureau of Apprenticeship and Training, or by the apprenticeship agency or council of any other state which has been recognized by the United States Department of Labor, Bureau of Apprenticeship and Training, shall be accorded approval reciprocally by the council if such approval is requested by the sponsoring entity, even though such programs and their standards may depart in some respects from the criteria of ORS 660.126 and from the other provisions set forth in ORS 660.002 to 660.210.
