A charge of $3 may be charged a pledgor or customer who places with the pawnbroker firearms required to be registered under the laws of the United States. In addition, a pledgor or customer may be charged any fee imposed by any governmental entity upon a pawnbroker for holding or transferring a firearm. [1973 c.449 §3; 1997 c.842 §4]
