Oregon Statutes - Chapter 181 - State Police; Crime Reporting and Records; Public Safety Standards and Training - Section 181.300 - Proceeding for removal.

(1) Members of the Oregon State Police may be removed only after written charges have been preferred and a hearing granted as prescribed in ORS 181.290 to 181.350.

(2) This section does not require a hearing for:

(a) Disciplinary measures taken by the superintendent or any commanding officer of a detachment for the punishment of minor infractions of the rules or regulations of the Department of State Police.

(b) Demotion of members.
