If the charges are proved the trial board shall make a written finding of guilty and recommend either removal of the member of the Oregon State Police or such disciplinary punishment as, in their opinion, the offense merits. Thereupon the Superintendent of State Police shall direct the removal or punishment. If any member refuses to attend the hearing or abide by any such disciplinary order, the superintendent may by order remove the member forthwith. [Amended by 1971 c.467 §20]
