DECISION ON APPEAL This is a decision on appeal from the final rejec- tion of claims 1, 3 through 8, 11, 14 through 17 and 22 through 25. Claims 2, 9, 10, 12, 13 and 18 through 21 have been allowed. Appellants' invention relates to a problem-solving method and a problem-solving system using a knowledge-based computer system for restoring a train schedule such that an identical interval between running trains is guaranteed when disturbances occur. The method and system require circumstantial judgement. Independent claim 1 is reproduced as follows: 1.
