Section 45-47-82 - Filing for record; preservation of orders and decrees.

(a) In Marion County, all orders and decrees shall be made and entered by circuit criminal judges sitting in and for the county on a sheet or sheets, commonly called trial sheets. There shall be a trial sheet or sheets for each case docketed in such court properly identified by the style of the case and a case number.

(b) After all orders and decrees have been made and entered, in any case, by the circuit criminal judge or judges sitting in and for such county, the clerk of the circuit court of such county shall file such sheets in numerical order in well-bound books labeled minute books and such judgments or decrees shall have the same force and effect as minutes of the circuit criminal courts of the county prior to the passage and approval of this section.
