Section 45-49-102.27 - Budgeting.

The school board shall adopt a policy establishing which monies may be budgeted and spent by a school council in a pilot program. The school board shall allocate funds each year to be spent by a school council in a pilot program. The allocation to each school shall be based solely on average daily membership as defined in Section 16-13-232. The funds allocated by the school board to be spent by a school council in a pilot program are not subject to and are exempt from the competitive bid law, Sections 41-16-20 to 41-16-63, inclusive. After receiving notification of the funds available for the school from the school board, the school council in a pilot program shall determine, within the parameters established by the school board, how the funds will be spent.
