Arkansas Code § 27-16-812 - Veteran Designation

(a) (1) A person may apply to the Office of Driver Services to obtain a veteran designation on a driver's license or identification card issued under this subchapter by providing:

(A) A Department of Defense discharge document, otherwise known as a DD Form 214, that shows a discharge status of "honorable" or "general under honorable conditions" that establishes the person's service in the United States Armed Forces; and

(B) Payment of the fee for the driver's license or identification card authorized under this chapter.

(2) If the person is seeking a duplicate or substitute driver's license with the veteran designation and his or her driver's license has not expired, the fee shall be as provided under ยง 27-16-806.

(b) The Office of Driver Services may:

(1) Determine the appropriate placement of the veteran designation on the driver's licenses and identification cards authorized under this section; and

(2) Promulgate the necessary rules for the administration of this section.
