Appeal No. 97-2879 Application No. 08/507,181 said terminal including means for storing messages addressed to said receiver, and means for transmitting said messages to said receiver in response to the receipt of said identification number. Reference is made to the brief and the answer for the respective positions of the appellant and the examiner. OPINION The obviousness rejection of claims 16 and 18 is reversed. In Kawasaki, a portable unit (Figure 4) transmits an acknowledgment signal in response to a call signal from a base station (Figure 2).
