Appeal No. 1997-1351 Application 08/127,924 invention is inoperative without the interface module. It is true that the processors cannot share data or perform other cooperative functions, but both processors could work independently. This does not make the claim indefinite or incomplete. Similarly, the fact that the control processor system and the remainder processor system are not interconnected to perform a control function does not render the claim indefinite. Both processors could work independently. All the other elements of claim 19 are interconnected in a definite arrangement as shown in Appellants' figure 1 except that at least two peripheral units are also connected to the control bus 7'. Claim 19 is not just an aggregation or unconnected list of parts as the Examiner contends. In summary, we conclude that claim 19 satisfies the requirements of 35 U.S.C. § 112, second paragraph. The rejection of claim 19 is reversed.
