Appeal No. 1997-2658 Application No. 08/478,974 The claimed invention relates to a program tuning adviser in which code samples are analyzed and critical regions of program code are identified. More particularly, Appellants indicate at pages 3 and 4 of the specification that the tuning advisor suggests improvements to the source code related to the displayed graphical views of the identified critical program code regions. Claim 1 is illustrative of the invention and reads as follows: 1.
